Deck the Halls… and the Windows!
Ah, the holidays!
As a team who deeply appreciates windows, we’ve also developed quite an appreciation for spending quality time at home. And now that the festive season is here, we’re dreaming up ways to add some holiday spirit to our windows.
Here are 5 tips to help you get inspired:
Tip #1: Use your window as a backdrop.
Maybe that beautiful double-pane glass is the sky to a quaint holiday village sitting on your windowsill. Or perhaps it’s there to reflect a beautiful arrangement of ornaments hanging from your window frame. When you consider your window a backdrop, the possibilities are endless!
Tip #2: Add some light!
They could be icicle lights, curtain lights, or even elegant spotlights shining from the outside in… you can’t go wrong with making things brighter! Plus, thanks to shorter days and longer nights, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy them glistening!
Tip #3: Get cozy with curtains.
Have you considered including curtains as part of your holiday decor? Think plaid wools, solid velvets, or even a festive pattern. Swapping out your curtains can make a big difference in the overall look of the space while also amping up your home’s holiday spirit!
Tip #4: Decorate for your “audience.”
If you’re a parent or even a grandparent, your decorating options may be more limited due to some curious little hands…but don’t fret! There are plenty of kid-friendly window decor options too. Add some window stickers or clings, or even a kid’s nativity scene on the windowsill. A little creativity goes a long way!
Tip #5: Embrace the magic.
We love thinking of all the different ways a home can be transformed, but at the end of the day, the holidays are meant for winding down and spending time with those you love. An undecorated window is still a beautiful frame for fresh snowfalls and giddy kids making snowmen in the yard. Make the most of your holiday season by doing what matters most to you!
We hope this handful of holiday tips adds a bit more magic to your home this season. Happy holidays from the entire Renewal by Andersen team!
