Our Spring Cleaning Checklist for Sparkling Windows

If you haven’t already, it’s the perfect time to get started on your spring cleaning to-dos! Using our window cleaning and maintenance checklist, your home’s windows will be spick and span and ready to let in the warm breeze this spring. 

Keep Fibrex® Material Spotless

Our exclusive Fibrex® composite material doesn’t require a lot of maintenance, but we recommend giving the components a little TLC once per season. Use a mild solution of soap and water with a soft, non-abrasive rag or brush to clean your Fibrex® frames, sashes and grilles.

Minimize Residue on the Glass

Clean your windows’ glass with a soft, dry cloth to wipe away dust and grime. Then, use a mild cleaning solution such as soapy water, diluted vinegar or liquid window cleaner and wipe in a circular motion. We recommend using a clean, lint-free cloth and avoiding the use of paper towels.

Maintain Moving Parts

Make sure your windows open and close easily by vacuuming or dusting away any debris that collects on your window sills or in the window tracks. 

Clean Your Decor

You most likely use blinds or curtains for your windows. Dust them off this spring and either vacuum or machine-wash your window coverings as directed on the label.
