Renewal by Andersen windows are built to last, and our warranty covers glass and frames for 20 years! With routine care and maintenance, you can make sure you get the most value out of your windows.
1. Keep Windows Clean
Windows are impacted by the environment, both inside and outside. If your home is prone to the exposure of airborne dirt, dust, or smoke, it’s a good idea to clean your windows regularly. We recommend using a clean cloth with mild soap and water to wash away residue. Avoid using harsh pressurized tools and abrasive cleaners to keep your windows in tip-top shape.
2. Inspect Parts Regularly
We recommend inspecting your windows once every season, especially after harsh storms or heavy winters. You should check for cracks, corrosion, warping and moisture damage. If you have questions or concerns about your Renewal by Andersen windows, our customer care team is here to help.
3. Ensure Ease of Operation
If you have casement, double-hung, gliding or awning windows, an annual application of dry lubricant is recommended for locks, hinges, operators and rollers for ease of use. If your area regularly experiences harsh weather, lubricants with corrosion inhibitors are recommended. It will help protect your metal hardware and maintain its structural integrity.
